This picture describes the great depression because it shows how people put the whites before african americans and if white people tried to have equal rights they would take them to court and they would get in trouble , and sometimes even killed.
PART 2.
first photo ;
observe-
1)i see some what of a store .
2)what i notice first is how the top of the building doesnt have a label or any words like a normal store
3)i see people standing by the building . adn somewhat of a gas thing ?
reflect-
1)a sign labeling the store name is missing .
2)yes , it would be different because everybody would think it was different .
3)i think it was made to show people how tough && hard it was to live in the past
question-
1)why is the store so broken down ?
2)who works there ? why arent people there?
3)when did this place open ?
Second photo ;
observe;
1)i see 'negros' outside of their house and a broke n down house.
2)what i notice first is how upset the peoplelook in the picture.
3)i see people standing outside their house , and i see their house look like it was thrown together in a day
reflect-
1)i think this image was made to show how it was for negros during the great depression.
2)people are standing outside their house upset .
3)i think this was made twords the end of the great depression because it looks like they have been through ALOT of rough stuff .
questions-
1) who are these people ?
2) why are they standing outside.
3) what is their house made out of.
Third photo ;
observe-
1)i see feet.
2)what i notice is holed clothes
3)i see peoples feet and a bucket and their clothes hanging off of them
reflect-
1)i think this was made to once again show the hard times.
2)people are barefoot , probably letting their feet dry.
3)i think this was made during the depression .
questions;
1) who are these people?
2) why are they barefoot?
3) what is wrong with their shoes.
My overall analysis on these photos is that it is rude for the white (colored) people to be able to use the bathroom and different hotel services& different stores , there is no difference beetween them .
PART 3
people in the depressions lives were very different from how they are now , for example spome women had to do mens work . ElizabethMiller , had to go fetch a hog and dress it all by herself. she also cut it up and roasted it , before her husband got home from going to fetch another hog with a group of men.Also mrs.marie haggerty worked as what we now call a house wife , but then they tested them , and she had to work as a nurse also . now a days , you only do one thing. Anna novak worked in a packing house. this is different from now a days because they had to work on all the holidays and we usually dont.Irving fanjans had to do little jobs such as sweeping and such while he worked at a department store , you had to be a very good worker to be ahead. Mr.Garavelli had to work as a stone worker . now a days we have equptment we can do those things with . back then they had to cut it by hand .
